Meet Our In-House Transcriptionist, Carnetta Arthur!

We are incredibly fortunate to employ our own in-house transcriptionist, Carnetta, whose sole mission is transcribing audio, video, tape-recorded statements, and depositions.

For many years, Carnetta has worked in the courts and for legendary Indianapolis criminal defense attorney, David Hennessy, so she has phenomenal knowledge and experience. Using those transcriptions at trial, for deposition prep or even to hand over to a prosecutor to convince a prosecutor to do the right thing before trial is a valuable asset. The availability of Carnetta and her years of legal experience to transcribe all forms of audio quickly and efficiently is just one of the built-in perks that The Criminal Defense Team of Baldwin Perry & Wiley P.C. provides as a courtesy to its clients.

Why do we prioritize having a transcriptionist on staff and why does Carnetta add tremendous value to the firm and its clients?

Video and audio evidence is now a prominent feature in almost every case – whether it be dash cam, body cam, Instagram or Tik-Tok posts, or deposition testimony. Transcription allows for a quick and efficient reference to the video as we prepare the case. Having Carnetta on staff saves the client the expense of hiring a court reporter.
